ECEAP Preschool

ECEAP is a free preschool program for income-eligible children ages 3-5 years and their families. We offer a play-based curriculum that develops literacy, language, math art, social emotional and science skills along with services in family support, health screenings and nutrition. We accept applications throughout the year and maintain a wait list. 

Schedule:

  • Days: Monday – Thursday
  • Time: 9:00 a.m.-3:40 p.m.

Eligibility Requirements
Students MUST be three- or four-years-old by August 31 AND meet one of the below criteria:

  • Income-eligible families
  • Currently on TANF or immediate family member is on SSI for disability
  • Student is in foster care or not living with parent(s)
  • Family meets McKinney-Vento requirements
  • Transitioning from Birth to Three (IFSP) or Early Head Start
  • Student has communication/speech only IEP with VISD (may be eligbile if over income)
  • Referred by Special Education Preschool Program (may be eligible if over income)

    • By joining the ECEAP community, parents meet new people, gain self-confidence, learn about community resources, develop job skills, and help their child get a good start in school
